Simulation Tests Of A Tactical Airway System

摘要

This report describes the testing of a number of route configurations and air traffic control procedures developed for an experimental tactical airway system which is to be established by the Department of the Army in the vicinity of Fort Huachuca, Ariz. The tests were conducted on the dynamic air traffic control simulator at the FAA Technical Development Center at Indianapolis. By-products of this program included the development of new pro¬cedures and displays for the control of high-density airway traffic. These developments are expected to have future application in the common military/civil air navigation and traffic control system.
