摘要

As these neighbors are rarely polar these interactions are primarily of the van der Waals type. Furthermore, as these neighbors are frequently rare gas atoms, and the matrix is then with considerable probability, of the crystal structure of the rare gas, many of the orientation-dependent van der Waals forces have their orientation-dependent parts averaged to zero.
