The aims of this research program were to:n(1) Investigate methods for accelerating small particles with diameters in the range of 1 to 1000 microns to velocities of 5 to 10 km/sec.n(2) Investigate methods for measuring the size and velocity of such particles.n(3) Make measurements of the effects of particle impacts on various materials.
