It is shown that in the limit of low pressures there exists a law of corresponding sites of the form, where Tm is the melding temperature of the crystal.nApplication of the theory is made to Na and Pb. For Pb, the computed heat of activation is 23,300 cal to be compared with the experimental value of 23,210 cal.
