The main objectives of the research performed under this contract were to develop small-size electrical printed circuit board connectors -having certain character¬istics. These connectors must have enough contact pres¬sure to satisfy military requirements, yet be readily insertable with a minimum of required insertion force. In addition, it was required that a connector be designed for connecting printed circuit boards whose planes are per¬pendicular at their points of contact.
