Welded-Pipeline Construction Tool Sets

This report covers the engineer testing and evaluation of sev-eral proposed, welded, petroleum-pipeline, construction tool sets and their components intended for use by troops engaged in the con¬struction and repair of 4-, 6-, 8-, 12-, or l6-inch welded petroleum pipelines.nWhenever practical, tests were conducted to determine the ef¬fectiveness of each set component. Components which could not be tested, due to lack of facilities or manpower, were evaluated based on their observed performance on civilian pipeline construction projects and general acceptance of the components by civilian pipe¬line construction personnel.
