Extrusion Die Development Titanium and Steel

摘要

The objective of this project is to develop die materials which will permit the extrusion of titanium and steel alloy structural sections with the dimensional stability and surface finish of their aluminum counterparts.nThe purpose of the effort, an expressed need of the industry, is to reduce the time lag and cost of machining such sections for aircraft and missiles from solid bar or preformed shapes.
