The "telodimer" from the telomerization of vinyl acetate in carbon tetrachloride has been isolated in the two crystalline, diastereoisomeric forms. The two isomers differ markedly in most of the physical properties so far investigated. It has not been possible yet to determine which model is threo and which, erythro (the forms which would correspond, in polymer terminology, to syndio- and isotactic configurations, respectively).
