HANDBOOK FOR HYDROGEN HANDLING EQUIPMENT

The following sections of this chapter give general information common to and in support of the design and application of the many items of liquid hydrogen ground support equipment. A manual to guide the user in the safe handling of liquid hydrogen in ground support systems is pre-sented. A mollier diagram for compressed equilibrium liquid hydrogen has been constructed from compilation and analysis of available data sources as an engineering aid to liquid hydrogen process calculations. Considerations in the selection and use of low-temperature structural materials and insulations for liquid hydrogen ground support components are given as background for component design.
