Negative Complement Fixation Reaction for Presumptive Auto-Anti bodies in Sera of Burned Rabbits

To test this postulate, rabbits were burned under controlled conditions and their sera tested with the sera of rabbits that had healing burns of a month’s duration and also demonstrated the characteristic serum protein pattern of increased globulin found after severe burns. The presence of an antibody-antigen reaction was studied using a modification of the complement fixation test of Kolmer(3).
