摘要

The alteration in (GFR) glomerular filtration rate and (RPF) renal plasma flow during hyperthermia caused by exposure to high environmental temperature (radiant heating) was studied. Air temperature used was 49℃. All animals were anesthetized with 30 mg./kg. of sodium pentobarbital. Creatinine clearance was used to measure GFR, and para-aminohippuric acid clearance at low plasma levels was used to measure RPF. It was found that with either dehydration or hydration, the GFR and RPF, after an initial increase, fell significantly after 3 to 4 hours’ exposure to heat.
