1.1 This procedure describes the calibration of the type 390-1, 390A-2, or 390A-3 microwave crystal test set, which is a portable battery-powered instru¬ment designed to-measure the relative noise figure- of microwave mixer crystals. The type 390A-3 microwave crystal test set may also be used to match crystals for use in balanced mixers, and to measure the relative sensitivity of micro¬wave detector crystals. The instrument being calibrated will be referred to herein as the Test Instrument.n1.2 The Test Instrument consists of a 200 μα meter, a 1.5 volt battery, and two voltage dividers.n1.3 Each Test Instrument function is tested to verify its correct perform-ance within the required tolerances, as follows.
