Comparative Study of Three Types of 50-Ohm Cable

The report is a sequel to PB-185 045, the prototype study on RG 17/U coaxial cable, in which most of the basic procedures were developed. Three types of coaxial cable are here scrutinized: styroflex, spiroline, and foamflex. Transfer functions were obtained from a near-step input and its response, and verified with a delayed input and its response. The end product of the study is the set of sectional polynomial fittings of the transfer functions. With proper adaptation for varying length, etc., these transfer functions should be used for the recovery of inputs from outputs as transmitted through them.
