Design and Procurement of Conventional Type Drawworks

Engineering design studies were devoted primarily to preliminary layout specification and performance analysis of the drawworks brake system. Both the drawworks brake mechanism and the two auxilliary brakes are under consideration. Study is progressing on the design requirements for the eddy current and hydromatic brake installations. The design calculations and layouts of the overrunning clutch required for the hydromatic brake installation are nearly completed to the extent of available information furnished by Parkersburg.
