The report covers the completed research, design, and development of Turbocorers, a Retractable Core Bit, and various Retrievable Core Barrels; it does not comprise the complete downhole tool complement. The report is comprised of the front matter, four sections, and supporting appendices. Background material and initial requirements for the equipment involved are presented in Section I. Section II describes the engineering investigations conducted, objectives, and resulting design criteria which preceded the final development of equipment required. Section III describes the final design and tests of the equipment involved. The research, design, and development of this equipment is summarized in Section IV, which includes recommendations for final acceptance and procurement. (Author)
