摘要

Two artificial soils, grundite and Edgar Plastic Kaolin were tested. Their behavior was indistinguishable qualitatively irrespective of compaction method or energy level. Strain differences E sub 1 - E sub 3 determined in the tests have been expressed mathematically as E sub 1 - E sub 3 = at to the b power. The relationships of a and b with respect to cyclic loading, confining pressure and water content was studied. A discussion of stress distribution theories is presented. (Author)
