The objectives of the investigation were to determine the influence of initial web distortion on the fatigue behavior of thin web girders and to determine the distribution of stresses along the panel boundaries. Plate girders with and without longitudinal stiffeners were tested in order to determine the influence of longitudinal stiffeners on fatigue behavior.
