One of the most important parts of any effective 'living history' type program is the clothing worn by the interpreter. It is the clothing that first catches the attention of the visitor and properly stages the entire presentation. The strangeness and the color hold the attention and provokes their questioning. By being in historical dress the interpreter is in an unique position to effectively address the visitor and interpret the park's theme. It is the purpose of this brief paper to acquaint the interpreter at this park with a basic amount of information on the clothing of the period in which the battle of Guilford Courthouse was fought.
