Use of Vital and Health Records in Epidemiologic Research: A Report of the United States National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics

The report presents an analysis of the changing needs for data in epidemiologic research, in relation to the present vital and health statistics system. Recommendations are included for use of existing vital and health records, and for developing new data for epidemiologic studies.
