An Inexpensive Digital Data Acquisition System

The report describes a highly flexible digital data acquisitions system that can be duplicated for $8,000. The system is for VLF research, but it could be easily adapted to a wide variety of problems. It is capable of sampling up to 16 channels of 2 signals each, digitizing each signal in a 10-bit code and punching the output on paper tape, showing time and other identification at a rate of up to 100 channels/second. The system is easily expandable in a number of ways to provide increased capabilities. (Author)
