摘要

In the design of composite beams, the assumption is made that the shear connection between the concrete slab and the steel I-beam is infinitely stiff. This assumption is strictly valid only when the bond at the interface has not broken. When the bond has broken the shear is transmitted by the shear connectors resulting in slip at the steel/concrete interface and in changes in the distribution of longitudinal stress. In order to determine the changes in these stresses three typical cases for simply-supported road bridge beams were calculated for three types of shear connector, with different stiffnesses.
