摘要

A model of the thermal balance in ingot-crucible systems during consumable-electrode arc melting was mathematically derived. A characteristic of the problem solution is the nature and thermal conductance of the ingot-crucible interface. Potential utility of the concepts contained in the model was demonstrated by several examples. (Author)
