摘要

A computer program for the calculation of torsion and shear constants of box sections with thick walls is presented. The computer program is based on a finite element analysis of the classical St. Venant torsion problem, where it is assumed that cross sections are free to warp. The program is designed to calculate tables of torsion factors for symmetrical box sections described in non-dimensional terms. The program also allows calculation of torsion constants for specific box sections described in terms of their actual dimensions. Input data required for this program are discussed in detail. Isotropic as well as orthotropic sections can be analyzed. A brief description of the various subroutines required for the calculation of torsion constants is given. A complete listing of the program is given.
