The report documents the empirical equation for predicting pavement performance that was given in Section 3.3 of Research Report 32-11, 'A Systems Approach to the Flexible Pavement Design Problem.' The equation explains loss in pavement serviceability in terms of deflections, axle-load applications, temperature, and foundation movements due to swelling clays. (BPR abstract)
