Flexible Pavement Performance Related to Deflections, Axle Applications, Temperature and Foundation Movements

The report documents the empirical equation for predicting pavement performance that was given in Section 3.3 of Research Report 32-11, 'A Systems Approach to the Flexible Pavement Design Problem.' The equation explains loss in pavement serviceability in terms of deflections, axle-load applications, temperature, and foundation movements due to swelling clays. (BPR abstract)
