Preparation of Mycoplasma Seed Antigen, Antiserum, and Fluorescein Labeled Antibody Reagents and Conduct of a Mycoplasma Detection and Identification Service

The work reported has been conducted under two closely coordinated contracts. Fifty-four mycoplasma reagents have been completed for distribution by RRRB. Approximately 70 reagents remain to be completed, of which about 50 are in some stage of active production. An anticipated production schedule for the unfinished work is presented at the conclusion of this report. In addition to the reagent production activities, mycoplasma detection and identification programs have been conducted for both DBS AND NIAID. During the present NIAID contract year (since June 1968), forty-five tests have thus far been conducted for Research Reference Reagents Branch. These tests are tabulated in the Results section of this report. (Author)
