Dispersion-Strengthening in Copper-Alumina and Copper-Yttria Alloys

The report discusses an investigation of the properties of copper alloyed with alumina and yttria. Alloys were prepared by a coprecipitation process and were fabricated by pressing and sintering of powders, extrusion, and swaging. Tensile properties at room and elevated temperatures, stress-rupture strength, electrical conductivity, and density were measured. (Author)
