Report on Weather Bureau Forecast Performance 1967-68 and Comparison with Previous Years

The report provides analyses of data on forecast performance that have been developed from the forecast verification program of the Weather Bureau for a 12-month period in the years 1967-68. In order to isolate seasonal variations in forecast performance, the data have been grouped into a 'summer' period including the months April-September and a 'winter' period made up of the months October-March. The present report includes the period April 1967 through March 1968. For a detailed description of the Weather Bureau verification program, the reader should refer to the previous report on forecast performance. (Author)
