The report serves as an appendix to the separately bound Preliminary Analysis for Development of Central Appalachia. It assesses the demand for and the supply and use of private capital resources in central Appalachia. The focus is on capital as one key element in the total process of economic development and the creation of new jobs. There is a second separately bound appendix titled The Spatial Concentration of Industry in Appalachia.
