The major fractions are a green juice devoid of fiber and a pressed cake, each of which can be further processed into additional marketable commodities (1). Interest in wet fractionation is not new at the Western Regional Research Laboratory. Initial work in this field was reported in 1947 (2). At that time it was the opinion of many dehydrators that such a process would, not be economical.
