Some Exact Solutions for the Bending of Flat Plates under Transverse Loads

Exact solutions of the differential equation governing the small bending deflections of flat orthotropic plates are presented for a variety of support conditions and loadings. The equations are augmented by tables of dimensionless numerical coefficients, the application of which is illustrated by several worked examples. (Author)
