This report is presented as Part III of a three part study. The first two parts discuss the initial experimental study on steel musical strings and a theoretical analysis of the fret positions for quality musical instruments of the 'lute' type. This time report presents the results of the experiment study of nylon strings, with the corresponding computed fret positions for classical and flamenco guitars. The goal of the overall study was to allow one to calculate or select values from calculated curves locating the positions of the frets for any fretted musical instrument. The accuracy of this system of fret placement was verified by the experimental parts of the study. The effects of string heights above the stopping board and the effects of different diameter and lengths of strings were studied, and these effects are denoted in the report. (Author)
