摘要

The toxicity of azotomycin was studied in beagle dogs, which received single intravenous doses, 24-hour intravenous infusions, or 6 weekly intravenous doses. Azotomycin toxicosis in dogs was characterized by emesis, anorexia, mydriasis of short duration, variations in urine excretion, rectal bleeding, early occurring lymphopenia of short duration, hemoconcentration, inconsistent thrombocytopenia, elevated BUN and inconsistently elevated serum transaminase. Anatomical findings were not consistent and primarily involved the small bowel mucosa. (Author)
