Digital Printer/Plotter Graphics Terminal

摘要

A high speed, hard copy, graphics output terminal for the computer complex at the National Meteorological Center is described. The terminal consists of an electrostatic digital printer/plotter, a small digital computer, and a communication modem for receiving, and unpacking compressed data and formatting and controlling the printer/plotter for presentation of graphical information. The operational terminal is currently being used in experiments for plotting maps of synoptic weather observations and prognoses (graphical forecasts) and for printing text information. (Author)
