Anti-Leukocyte Serum Procurement and Population Genetic Studies of Lymphocyte Typing in Hawaii

An attempt was made to further develope the procurement of human anti-lymphocyte serum containing monospecificity or duospecificity, obtained from pregnant women in the State of Hawaii. In addition to the above task, lymphocyte typing, of the population in Hawaii, was also performed for the establishment of precise lymphocyte systems in conjunction with the population genetic analyses and family studies of lymphocyte types in Hawaii. Further population analyses of lymphocyte types were tested on 236 individuals consisting of different ethnic groups in Hawaii. Different statistical significance was found in the HL-AL, HL-A4 and HL-A7 among races. (Author)
