Stock Assessment by Echo Integration and Its Application to Juvenile Sockeye Salmon in Lake Washington

An echo integrator for use in the estimation of fish populations was designed and built. The first part of this paper describes an investigation into the relationship between the integrated echo strength of the echo integrator and number of juvenile sockeye salmon. The second part details an estimation of the pelagial population of presmolt sockeye salmon in Lake Washington by means of the echo integrator. (Author)
