Continuous Cooling Transformation Diagrams I -Cooling Curve Analysis for Transformation Diagrams and Heat Treatment,

Based upon the earlier work on the cooling of round steel bars in inch measurement,these newer tables extend the assessment in the metric millimetre sizes. Air cooling covers 0.01to 2000mm dia and oil and water quenching from 1to 300mm. Axial,mid radius and near surface (0.8R) cooling rates are considered and analysis tables are provided. Equivalent diameter tables are provided for similar nucleation by air,oil and water cooling. A brief description of the determination of progress of transformation and the preparation of continuous cooling transformation diagrams is illustrated for En 16. (Author)
