摘要

Two doses of the same antineoplastic agent (Cytosine Arabinoside (Ara-C), Vincristine (VCR), Vincaleucoblastine (VLB), Cytoxan (CTX), 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU), Methotrexate (MTX),and Nitrogen Mustard (HN2)) were administered at intervals of 0to 18hours in steps of 1.5hours to male albino mice. A unique pattern of mortality which appeared to be related to the nature of the toxicity of the individual drug was produced. In a similar experimental design, a combination of VCR and Ara-C produced an order-related toxicity pattern, but this effect was not seen with a combination of VCR and VLB. Also, the combination of VCR and Ara-C was significantly less toxic than the individual drugs. Administration of two doses of the same antineoplastic agent,to male BDF1mice inoculated with L-1210tumor,at these intervals induced an interval-related increase in survival time in mice treated with Ara-C but not with MTX.
