Energy Systems for Implantable Circulatory Assist Devices.

摘要

Nickel cadmium batteries with and without signal electrodes were investigated for use as implantable electric energy storage systems. The addition of the signal electrodes,in combination with appropriate charge control circuitry and high charging rates promises to yeild superior performance at the high body temperature. Approximately 120cells,assembled into matched cell groups,were delivered to various contractors for their use in implantable circulatory assist devices. (Author)
