The use of large scale files and automated analytical techniques must accommodate the situation that occurs when needed data is missing. A discussion of this general problem and a series of procedures and data tables are presented for some of the common omissions encountered in the frequency management context. An approach to the development of additional missing data rules is also discussed. A series of additional pertinent topics are discussed in this volume in appendices. (Author)
