Durability of Bridge Deck Concrete. Part One: Effect of Construction Practices on Durability.

摘要

In order to study the effect of construction practices on the durability of bridge decks,seven concrete decks were observed during construction. Each deck was then examined annually for 5years,and evidence of deterioration recorded. Four major types of deterioration were observed: surface mortar deterioration (SMD),transverse cracking,fracture planes,and spalling. These were related to seven construction factors: form type,slump,air content,placement time,finishing time,delay in curing,and depth of concrete cover. (Author)
