Develop Method of Manufacture of Kiil-Type Artificial Kidney.

摘要

The objective of this program is to develop an inexpensive manufacturing method for the Kiil-type Artificial Kidney Dialyzer. The low-cost production method consists of compression molding the grooved surface of the board and bonding this thin plastic part to a lightweight stiffening member to complete the Kiil-type boards having critical dimensions identical to the existing boards which are commercially available. During this report period,the following items of work were accomplished: materials toxicological tests were conducted;grooved plates and stiffeners were fabricated for clinical test units;production tooling drawings were 90% complete;effort was initiated to obtain production tooling cost estimates; a modified stiffener mold cost estimate was requested;fabrication of production tooling was initiated.
