摘要

A method is presented to find an approximate numerical solution of the Fredholm integral equation of the first kind. The method is a modification of the procedure initiated by CHAHINE (1) and extended by SMITH (2): Spline functions are introduced in order to reduce consistently the computing time and to increase the flexibility of application;Acceleration parameters are introduced in order to improve the empirical rate of convergence.
