Residential Energy Consumption -Phase I Report.

摘要

The total energy balance was characterized for single family residences in the Baltimore,Maryland/Washington, D.C. area. Data were acquired concerning house construction techniques and components,heating and cooling systems,air flow patterns,air infiltration,and energy-consuming appliances. Based on the data, a 'characteristic house'was synthesized having a typical energy profile. In subsequent studies,the 'characteristic house'will be analyzed parametrically using computer techniques. Also,the energy consumption of selected appliances was examined,and recommendations made whereby greater energy utilization could be achieved. (Author)
