An Investigation of the Applicability of Acoustic Pulse Velocity Measurements to the Evaluation of the Quality of Concrete in Bridge Decks.

摘要

The applicability of pulse velocity measurements to detect deterioration of concrete in bridge decks was explored. Measured velocities were found to be strongly related to significant properties of concrete. It was concluded that a portable field-type velocity measuring instrument,such as the one designed and constructed during the study,appears to be applicable to the task of detecting the extent of deterioration of concrete in bridge decks.
