摘要

There are a number of soils,principally those referred to as laterites and lateritic soils,which are found in southeast Asia and other tropical environments,but are essentially unknown in countries of the temperate zones. This document provides the results of field studies carried out in Thailand on lateritic soils. Included are reports on background studies of the literature and of geology,the development of a classification system for the soils pavement evaluation studies,and special studies on durability,stabilization,and dynamic properties.
