Skew and Elevated Support Effects on Curved Bridges.

摘要

A study of 288curved bridge systems,using a matrix technique,having various combinations of span length,radius of curvature,number of girder,and support orientations has been conducted. The analysis of the data,resulting from the skew support studies,indicated that a skewed bridge can be designed as a radial bridge. The analysis of the data,resulting from the elevated support studies,indicates that there is no significant difference in the behavior of the elevated bridge to that of a constant support elevated structure.
