A performance study was conducted to determine the reliability of trichloroethylene (79016) detector tubes. Tubes representing all those available in the United States were tested at concentrations of one-half, one, two, and three times the threshold limit value. Of the four brands of tubes evaluated, only one was acceptable, the Drager No. CH-244 10/a.
