Study of High Level Language Oriented Computer Architecture.

摘要

Computers are typically designed with little or no regard for the high level languages with which the computer will be programmed. This approach to computer design often causes a mismatch between the high level language and the machine language that complicates the design of a compiler and results in inefficiently compiled machine language programs. A high level language (HLL) computer is one that has been designed to facilitate the compilation and execution of high level language programs. In this approach, the computer is designed to include the operators and data structures that are necessary to effectively implement the operators and data structures of the language. The objective of this research is to develop a functional design of a high level language computer for aerospace applications and, in so doing, to develop a better understanding of the language/computer interface.
