General Computer Analysis of Beams on Elastic Foundations.

摘要

A numerical method is described for the analysis of elastically-supported beams of non-uniform section under any type of loading. The subgrade modulus for upwards movements need not be the same as that for positive pressures. Discrete elastic supports may be processed simultaneously with continuous elastic foundations. Fixed boundary conditions may be simulated by very stiff discrete supports. Such beams are treated as initial-value problems and are idealized into a linear assembly of a large number of elastically-connected,rigid elements.
