摘要

A solid-state relay designed to rapidly detect internal faults in grounded EHV shunt reactors is described. Detailed descriptions of the theory of operation,functional design,and practical development are presented with the aid of phasor,block,and schematic diagrams. The adjustments provided in the design and the influence of each upon the operating characteristics of the relay are presented. Field tests of an experimental model of this relay conducted at an EHV shunt reactor installation are evaluated. Curves depicting operating characteristics and response time for the experimental model relay are also presented.
